The goal of the presented Risk Management Plan is to increase the probability of the project success by identifying potential challenging tasks early and envisaging mitigation measures to avoid or reduce the probability of negative occurrence. The assessment of risks and how to mitigate project risks is conducted through close interactions between the project coordinator, the work package leaders and city representatives. The potential risks, containing identification, classification (for probability and impact) and mitigation measures are listed in section Risk register on page 8. Risks are categorized using the scoring based on their probability of occurrence and impact on the overall project, deliverable and/or task. Mitigating actions will be tailored to limit the likelihood of the risks to occur and aimed to minimize the impact. The ‘Risk Management Plan’ will be monitored continuously throughout the project by Work Package and Task Leaders. The Risk Management Plan will be updated twice a year in terms of risks identified and impact/likelihood and presented half-yearly to the Executive Board and yearly to the General Assembly. An initial list of risks is provided in this report, based on the Grant Agreement. All beneficiaries from ICOS Cities and Work Package and Task Leaders are responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the risks. New identified risks for the project should be reported on an ongoing basis to the coordinator. A risk reporting template is included in this report and is available through the project internal website Any party affected or concerned with the project is invited to report any risks that may have an impact on the successful delivery and completion of ICOS Cities.
